JailBreakMe site has been updated again. It seems that our report about the release of iPad 2 JailBreak will turn out to be true soon. Unlike previous changes where he tried to give hints on the upcoming JailBreak, Comex has updated it with a unique Apple style. This is very similar to what App Store (online) do when they are all set to launch a new product. It says – ‘We will be back soon’ on a yellow paper. The JailBreakMe.com has been in various ups and down from the last few days.
We already inquired you that @comex is working on the iPad 2 JailBreak and the recent changes on his website are the live examples that something big is to arrive soon. Today, a video has been posted on youtube which depicts that the JailBreakMe 3.0 has been leaked prior to the public release. It means that this version of JailBreakMe, which is assumed to be JailBreakMe 3.0 for iOS 4.3.3 is capable of JailBreaking your iPad 2 in the beta version itself. This is meant to be the developer version which could still have some bugs to be fixed.
Firstly the leak of the iPad 2 JailBreak by a beta tester ‘MultiMediaWill’ and then the sudden appearance of JailBreakMe.com for sale has put up many questions infront of us. Is comex is actually working on the iPad 2 JailBreak? If the current screenshot from the frequent mail replies between Comex & MultiMediaWill is to be believed then Comex has not closed the JailBreakMe project yet. Instead, he is all set to release the iPad 2 JailBreak tomorrow with all the bug fixes that were there in the beta version.
As I had announced in this post: Comex Updated JailBreakMe , Hints Towards The Release JailBreak iPad 2 ? Now iPad 2 jailbreak running iOS 4.3.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.1, 4.3 leaked by one of JailbreakMe testers, he jailbroke his iPad 2 on the below video by downloading PDF file which is the exploit used to jailbreak iPad 2 with JailbreakMe 3.0.
As I announced a few days ago finally released GreenPois0n RC5. This tool brings untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak for all iOS devices. Besides you do not need to have ’4.2b3′ SHSH blobs saved in Cydia, unlike the Redsn0w 0.9.7. Keep in mind, the software is only available for Mac OS X. A Windows version will be coming very soon.
Apple released the final build of iOS 4.2, more specifically, iOS 4.2.1. The jailbreaks are ready to go, and we can help you get through the process of jailbreaking your device.
But first, a few notes: If you have an unlocked phone, DO NOT use this jailbreak. In fact, if your phone is unlocked you should be avoiding iOS 4.2.1 altogether.
Blackra1n News: Geohot to Release Untethered Jailbreak After 02.10.11 (Verizon iPhone 4 Launch) ?
Continuing the jailbreak theme today comes news that jailbreak supremo MuscleNerd has claimed that Geohot might release a new untethered jailbreak in the coming weeks.
The news comes after another iPhone developer and hacker Pod2G informed the world that a new vulnerability has been discovered for iOS and that GreenPois0n is being actively worked on as it is clear that Apple has blocked GreenPois0n in its upcoming version of iOS – version 4.3.
Geohot has the Limera1n untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 and 4.3, and the big surprise is that the unlock is ready for iPhone 4 on 2.10.04 and 3.10.01 basebands with Limesn0w, anyway I will keep you informed with any updates.
Apple iOS platform is going to get a set of untethered jailbreaks in a while. Prominent iOS hacking teams Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team are working on to design iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak untethered to jailbreak/unlock Apple iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPad and latest iPod Touch devices.
The new untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreaks can hack a device in itself. The iDevice will never have to be connected with a personal computer to jailbreak or unlock. In other words, iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak comes in line with Redsn0w and Greenpois0n, a Web-based iOS jailbreak.
Just few days after Apple released the iOS 4.3 beta to developers, there’s an (unofficial) version of PwnageTool that can jailbreak the new iOS 4.3 . The new PwnageTool is based on the Limera1n exploit that has been around for a while now.
As with any jailbreak, you should be careful to back up your phone before installing any custom firmware files. This version of PwnageTool will not preserve your baseband, which means that it will break any carrier unlocking you’ve already done. Basebands are notoriously hard to downgrade, and an “official” PwnageTool carrier unlock won’t be released til iOS 4.3 is out of beta, so use caution.
