Error 1015 firmware downgrade iPhone and iPod Touch
From the Apple support site:
Error 1015: This error is caused by the attempt to downgrade the firware of the iPhone or iPod touch. This may occur when you try to restore an old file. Ipsw. The downgrade to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this problem, groped to restore the latest iPhone or iPod touch available from Apple.

Proceed as follows:
For iPhone 3G users who accidentally updated to OS 3.1.3 and have lost the release of the phone .
The user has iPhone 3G Baseband 05.12.01 can downgrade to 05.11.07 with tools through Cydia called FuzzyBand.
Unfortunately this tool only works with iPhone 3G which goes back to the old boot last year.

The guide was only for Windows. After many requests I wrote the guide for Mac OSX.
- iRecovery for MAC OSX Download
- Extract the archive and run the terminal iRecovery
- Then type the following string given sent to each
online:
cd desktop
./iRecovery -s
setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
/exit
Final Step:
Reboot now your device by holding down the power button and the Home button. You will now run the downgrade from firmware 3.1.3 to firmware 3.1.2 and you can follow the usual guides to jailbreak firmware 3.1.2.
