As I announced a few days ago finally released GreenPois0n RC5. This tool brings untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak for all iOS devices. Besides you do not need to have ’4.2b3′ SHSH blobs saved in Cydia, unlike the Redsn0w 0.9.7. Keep in mind, the software is only available for Mac OS X. A Windows version will be coming very soon.

But first, a few notes: If you have an unlocked phone, DO NOT use this jailbreak. In fact, if your phone is unlocked you should be avoiding iOS 4.2.1 altogether.

Geohot has the Limera1n untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 and 4.3, and the big surprise is that the unlock is ready for iPhone 4 on 2.10.04 and 3.10.01 basebands with Limesn0w, anyway I will keep you informed with any updates.

Apple iOS platform is going to get a set of untethered jailbreaks in a while. Prominent iOS hacking teams Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team are working on to design iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak untethered to jailbreak/unlock Apple iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPad and latest iPod Touch devices.
The new untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreaks can hack a device in itself. The iDevice will never have to be connected with a personal computer to jailbreak or unlock. In other words, iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak comes in line with Redsn0w and Greenpois0n, a Web-based iOS jailbreak.

Unlock for Iphone 4 3GS 3G is available for download . Strange thing is , you need to upgrade your baseband to latest 06.15.00 [on iphone 3GS 3G ] in order to unlock your device . However if you are on baseband 01.59.00, 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, or 05.13.04 , you can proceed with the tutorial below without having to upgrade to 06.15.00 baseband. The most popular tweak in Cydia, AppSync is now available for iOS 4.2.1. It lets you install cracked apps on iOS 4.2.1 firmware by patching the MobileInstallation file on iOS 4.2.1.
