The error 1013 in iTunes which is mostly encountered when updating iOS firmware on iPhone 4, iPad 2 and seldom while updating firmware on iPad, iPod Touch and older iPhone models. Apple has just seeded the new beta version of iOS 5 to developers. This comes after Apple suspended developers accounts which their owners was selling access to iOS 5 Beta.

Upgrade iPhone to 3.1.2 with iTunes if not already updated.

Connect the device to your computer via USB (to be turned on) and close iTunes.
