iPhone 4S, successor of iPhone 4 was launched back in October 2011, despite it was similar in design to iPhone 4 it came with radical internal hardware changes like running latest Apple A5 processor, which also powers Apple’s second generation tablet, iPad 2. Unfortunately getting first untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S turned out difficult task as Limera1n bootrom exploit found in A4 devices was fixed in iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Even after all the odds iPhone hackers have once again proved themselves by releasing first iPhone 4S untethered jailbreak Absinthe.

Corona 5.0.1 Untether is a Cydia package to Jailbreak the iOS 5.0.1 firmware Untethered. The unique thing about the Corona 5.0.1 Untether Jailbreak is that it is the first Jailbreak based off of simply installing a Cydia package. Now, the reason you would want to use the Corona 5.0.1 Untether Cydia package is if you are currently Jailbroken on the iOS 5.0.1 firmware tethered and do not want to have to use a Jailbreaking tool like RedSn0w o.9.1ob1 or PwnageTool 5.0.1 to Re-Jailbreak your iOS Device. Corona 5.0.1 Untether supports all iOS devices that can run the iOS 5.0.1 firmware, except the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
A jailbreak tool recently unleashed on Cydia can “untether” your existing (tethered) iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak, which means that you won’t have to do a restore, and that you won’t lose anything important, such as photos, apps, etc.

There are two ways to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 untethered. If you are already on a tethered jailbreak, you can just download a Cydia package, and if not you will just need to run Redsn0w on your computer.
NOTE: This will not work for the iPhone 4S or iPad 2, although those jailbreaks should be coming soon. Also, this will not work on iOS 5.0, so update to 5.0.1 before you try it.

Comex, one of the hacker in the iOS community who is known for his userland JailBreaks has again updated the JailBreak.com. Earlier, he showed us a ski slope, black diamond and some PDF symbol which was supposed to be the teaser. This time, the site has been updated with some git commits dating all the way back to August 2010, suggesting that the developer was working on the Jailbreak since a year. Those who don’t know, Comex was the one who Jailbroken the iPad 2 and Apple unexpectedly closed the exploit that was never made public in iOS 4.3.1

iPhone 4 jailbreaking . Recently I just got a factory unlocked sim free iPhone 4 with iOS 4.2.1 Baseband 03.10.01. My question is can I jailbreak it with Redsnow 09.06.b5 latest jailbreak tool for io.s 4.2.1? But I read some article mentioned that, I will loose my carrier unlock if I jailbreak it with my current iOS 4.2.1 BB 03.10.01. Is it true ? Kindly give advice. Besides that , with my sim free iPhone, what do I need to concern before I jailbreak it ? Please give advice. DOA situation, can’t stay a day without jailbreak iPhone.

Recently A Dutch hacker, managed to break into jailbroken iPhone & tried to extort € 5 from the victim. Later it was discovered hacker attacked a number of vulnerable phones on T-mobile Netherlands and tried to extort €5 from them. Here is the original Dutch Forum from where all the incidences comes in to light. Arstechnia added “ It appears one enterprising Dutch hacker used port scanning to identify jailbroken iPhones on T-mobile Netherlands with SSH running. Enabling SSH is a common procedure for jailbroken iPhones, allowing a user to log in via Terminal and run standard UNIX commands. Unfortunately, iPhones all have a default root password that many forget to change after jailbreaking”

iFixer is a new utility released by Kirma to fix various problems that jailbreakers face with Blackra1n and Spirit jailbreak. iFixer utility essentially fixes the iTunes version error with Spirit jailbreak and Blackra1n ASL.dll when you have iTunes 10 installed.
